The short version: we don't collect your personal data. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking.

Kerf for iPad

  • Kerf collects no personal data. There are no accounts, and no analytics or tracking.
  • Your designs and settings stay on your iPad.
  • It talks only to your own laser and Kerf Bridge, on your own network.
  • Purchases (the trial and the unlock) are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment card details. All we receive from Apple are its anonymous sales reports.
  • If you join the beta through Apple's TestFlight, TestFlight sends us crash reports and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send, with your device model and iPadOS version. Kerf itself still collects nothing.

Kerf Bridge

  • The bridge runs on your own computer and your own network. It sends nothing to us.
  • If you set it up with Home Assistant (MQTT), it sends the laser's state and camera pictures only to the broker you choose.
